![]() During this time and throughout her life, however, she was especially proud of her family responsibilities as wife and mother to her three sons. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, a board member of the House of Mercy, a successful real estate agent and a longtime volunteer at the Landon School. In 1963, they relocated to the Bethesda, Md., where they lived for three decades and where their sons Ted and Peter were born. Earlier in their marriage, they lived in several locations including Mystic, Conn., where she taught high school English and where their son Tom was born. They were married on May 3, 1958, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Knoxville. There she met her future husband Peter Arrowsmith, a naval officer assigned to the Navy Nuclear Submarine Program. Following graduation, she was employed as a reference librarian at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. ![]() At the University of Tennessee she was President of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, a Torchbearer, and a member of Mortar Board. She graduated from Knoxville Catholic High School in 1951 and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1955 with degrees in Education and Library Science. She was born Aril 19, 1933, in Louisville, Ky. ĭied on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Alexian Village. The body was interred in the cemetery at Lyons View. ![]() She is survived by four daughters and one son. She was a devoted Christian and took a active part in church work in the Baptist church before her health failed. Mrs Mary Armstrong, died at the Eastern Hospital Friday. He was also the father of the late lamented Mrs. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. He was a member of the Lebanon Presbyterian church and was faithful to all of its precepts. He was sixty-eight years of age and lived a Christian life. Deceased was well known in Knox county, having been a practicing physician at Asbury for a number of years. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the family residence and the internment will afterward be made at Pickel cemetery of that community. Von Anderson died at his home at Asbury, Knox county, yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock having been a sufferer for some time with acute asthma and heart trouble.
